Once upon a time, I had this black and white thinking, until I worked with people that had truly unfortunate challenges in their lives and then had some less unfortunate ones of my own. Seeing and understanding better the impact of things like trauma on the individual and how other obstacles affect people emotionally, mentally, and, therefore, their behaviour, woke me up to being less judgemental and more compassionate. I still see many people that have the attitudes and limitations you speak about, but now I take time to consider further what drives that attitude or opinion for them. It's not always what you assume. ...but yes, ok sometimes it is.

Most politicians have investments in Blackrock, Lloyds, Aviva and Legal and General etc who are all buying properties, so guess what they don’t care about small (in comparison) private companies or Mom and Pop landlords. They will squeeze until you can’t be squeezed anymore then they will swoop in snap up a bargain. Simples.

Here's a question, I am buying a house and turning my flat into a buy to let. The income generated will take me over the £50k threshold with my salaried job. I hoped the income earned from renting the property would contribute towards my house mortgage but do not want it swallowed up by 40% tax? I want to begin to build a property portfolio but what is the point of keeping this flat and not selling it if I am just getting taxed to the hilt on it. People have said about LTD but you have to spend to save (IE business expenses). What can I do or am I missing a piece of the puzzle?

Great video Jamie. I think the government has not helped the country with section 24. I am one of those land lords who works an normal job and have 4 BTL's in a private name. Mt tenants have always had really cheap rent as I believe in great houses and an affordable price. Due to the interest rates going so so quickly in the last two years I am now breaking even, over the next few years I have to up the rent just to cover the tax I now need to pay. It would have been great if the government would have allowed a window of time so you could transfer the houses into a Ltd company without paying CGT. I think their main intention was to stop individual landlords and guide people towards companies and making the industry more professional.

Completely agree - made worse by higher interest rates on B2L company mortgages and the payment of SDLT and GCT on the transfer of property into a limited company which normally had increased in value. The overall result - increased rents which again demonises landlords and then round we go again!!!

Why is the UK PROPERTY MARKET the best in the world? Great video but did I miss something? This video talks about the UK but no mention of Spain, Turkiye, Australia etc. There are many property markets that are better than the UK's.

Thanks Mate, the sad truth is that no one has a clue, we all react to what happens as it happens and try to analyse it but can’t predict an iota of what is going to unfold in the markets… content creators are like amplifiers, when times are good they affirm it and try to tell you why it’s good and that it’s looking bullish but then all of a sudden the market turns bearish and everyone affirms it again and try to analyse why… it’s so sad that many are so powerless and it's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 19Bitcoin in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
